You know that feeling when you book a vacation abroad and as a real polish-aholic you keep thinking about what brands you’ll find there? Well, it ended up that my hotel was in the middle of nowhere on a beach. That means no nearby cities and no shops. On the very last day I entered a supermarket by a fuel station on the main road and I found some polishes! I only bought 4, the rest were really boring and ordinary if you know what I mean.

Bhe arrivati a Creta ci siamo resi conti che il nostro villaggio era su una spiaggia in mezzo al nulla. Nessuna città abbastanza vicina e niente negozi. L’ultimo giorno sono entrata in un piccolo supermercato dietro una stazione di servizio e ho trovato qualche smalto! Ne ho presi solo 4, il resto era roba noiosa, vista e stravista.

Well, I must confess if I stay too long away from shops I have withdrawal symptoms. Don’t get me wrong: I do not need to go shopping and actually buy something all the time. I only need to walk by shops and look what’s around, what’s new etc. The visual part. When I miss that, *THEN* I end up buying too much!
And obviously this was the case after a week in the middle of nowhere. I came home and plead my boyfriend to visit some stores immediately. Said and done, I found myself in front of a brand new Essence display from the yet-to-be-released Rock Out!! collection. It’s meant to be in stores in October and November so I guess some clerks might have put it out too early by mistake. Well thank you, let’s grab something! L-R: Best Female, Best Pop, Biggest Fan (glow in the dark top coat with star shaped glitters inside). And cream eyeshadow.
Vi confesso che sto troppo lontana dai negozi finisco con l’avere una crisi di astinenza. Sia chiaro, non è che ho bisogno di fare shopping di continuo, ma ho bisogno di nutrire gli occhi diciamo, passeggiare per le vetrine, vedere cosa c’è in giro etc. Senza necessariamente comprare. Però quando questa cosa viene a meno, allora sì che sono guai!
Ovviamente dopo una settimana in mezzo al nulla ecco la crisi. Sono tornata a casa e ho supplicato il mio compagno di portarmi in un centro commerciale. Detto fatto, mi son trovata davanti a un espositore intatto della collezione Rock Out!! di Essence. Collezione che era attesa per ottobre e novembre, secondo me esposta per sbaglio da qualche commessa. Che cmq mi ha fatto un favore diciamo! Da sx a dx: Best Female, Best Pop, Biggest Fan (top coat che si illumina al buio con stelline glitter). E un ombretto in crema.

In the same store I spotted the Silk+Satin collection by Sinful Colors. In my area it’s impossible to find Sinful’s limited editions so I couldn’t resist grabbing a couple. Matte About Blue, Real Teal.
Sempre da OVS ho trovato la collezione Silk+Satin di Sinful Colors, marca praticamente introvabile nella mia zona. Non ho potuto resistere a due smaltini: Matte About Blue e Real Teal.

You know I love Shaka, cheap Italian brand, great quality products. I got a newsletter a few weeks ago that they were releasing some matte eyeshadows. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I found them! Their distribution sucks unfortunately. Anyway, they had a 20% off sale, I got 3.
Sapete che adoro Shaka, costa poco e i prodotti sono mediamente di ottima qualità. Qualche settimana fa ho ricevuto la newsletter che annunciava il lancio di una serie di ombretti mono matte. Non credevo ai miei occhi quando me li son trovati davanti! Sapete tutti che la distribuzione Shaka è davvero pessima. Cmq, complice lo sconto 20% sui cosmetici ne ho presi 3.

Essence Hello Autumn collection, I kept spotting it everywhere but the red thermal nail polish was always out of stock. I was lucky at last! I’ve already showed you that one. But I also grabbed a new purple glitter from Catrice, Plum Fiction, and some sale items: Pupa lipstick, Essence lipstick and Maybelline eye-liner.
Essence Hello Autumn. Continuavo a trovare questa collezione dovunque, ma senza lo smalto rosso. Alla fine ce l’ho fatta (da Smoll), e ve l’ho già mostrato. Ma non bastava :D Ho anche preso un nuovo smalto Catrice, Plum Fiction, e alcuni prodotti in saldo: un rossetto Pupa della collezione Navy Chic, un rossetto Essence, e un eye-liner Maybelline.

Sales are up at Kiko, too. I grabbed an olive green nail polish and a Colour Shock cream eyeshadow. I have another one of these eyeshadows and I adore it.
Da Kiko ancora saldi. Ho comprato uno smalto verde oliva e un ombretto in crema Colour Shock. Ne ho già uno e lo adoro.

Pupa Velvet Matte collection. The nail polishes were marked off by a little and I grabbed one (#3 Cherry). I honestly like them all though. I resisted! I bought some body butter instead!
Collezione Pupa Velvet Matte. Ho trovato gli smalti a un prezzo umano da Gardenia e ne ho preso uno (il n. 3 Cherry). In verità mi piacciono tutti quindi sono stata brava. In compenso ho preso anche delle creme corpo.
