Italian brand Faby recently rocked Milan Fashion Week being on the nails of many models on the runway. I think they really deserved the spotlight!
They also launched their new Fall/Winter 2015/2016 collection called Illusion.
“Faby Illusion teases the imagination of all women, inviting them to draw on their repertoire of magic tricks and create shape-shifting tricks of colours. “Art is an illusion that helps us understand reality” and like a juggler we can conjure up a different magical colour for our finger nails every day.”
Faby What the eyes see…* was inspired by the most famous magician Harry Houdini.
When I saw a lilac in a A/W collection I was kinda surprised. Lilac makes me think of Spring to be honest. When I got it though I realized I was totally wrong. Faby What the eyes see…* is actually a dusty lilac creme and it fits the season perfectly! Depending on where the light hits it from it shows more lilac or more grey.
Quality wise is perfect, like all Faby’s I have tried so far. Formulation is really good and it was very easy to paint it on the nails. Two coats gave me the perfect coverage. I only think it dried a little dull and I decided to use a top coat over it.

Faby è stata protagonista sulle unghie di tante modelle alla Milano Fashion Week e penso che se lo sia davvero meritato!
Nel frattempo è uscita anche la nuova collezione Autunno/Inverno 2015/2016 chiamata Illusion.

Faby What the eyes see…* è ispirata al famosissimo mago Harry Houdini.
Quando ho visto uno smalto lilla in una collezione A/I devo dire che sono rimasta perplessa. Io il lilla lo associo alla primavera. Mi sono dovuta ricredere quando l’ho avuto tra le mani però! Faby What the eyes see…* è un lilla polveroso, grigio, perfetto per la stagione. A seconda di come la luce colpisce le unghie, poi, sembra più lilla o più grigiastro.
La qualità è sempre perfetta, come gli altri Faby che ho avuto modo di provare. La formulazione è davvero ottima e lo smalto è semplice da stendere. Con due passate si ha la completa coprenza. Penso solo che asciughi un po’ “moscio” e ho deciso di aggiungere un top coat.
In foto sono due passate con top coat, in diverse condizioni di luce per mostrare le varie facce.
I think the dustiness showing more or less depending on the lighting conditions is even more fitting to the Illusion theme: is it a lilac? Is it a grey?

Penso che l’anima grigia che si fa più o meno vedere a seconda della luce sia ironicamente adatta al tema dell’illusione: è lilla? O è grigio?
