If you read my post about Sally Hansen Save the Date you know I was wishing for some extra shimmer there. What I do when that happens is reaching for sheer toppers. I have about a dozen that I use for layering.
This time I picked Color Club Femme Fatale for adding extra sparkle to Sally Hansen Save the Date. I thought the pink shimmer in it was a good match for the purple.
Color Club Femme Fatale ended up not being a simple shimmery top coat though. The pink particles swimming in the clear base are actually bigger than shimmer, I’d say they are micro flakies! Too bad I couldn’t capture any in a macro shot, you would have loved it!
This is one coat of Color Club Femme Fatale over Sally Hansen Save the Date plus top coat. I think you can still see those extra tiny flakies, and you can notice the base colour wasn’t changed.

Se avete letto il mio post riguardo Sally Hansen Save the Date sapete che avrei voluto qualche sbrilluccichio in più. Quando mi capita aggiungo sempre un top coat poco coprente da stendere sopra lo smalto di base. Ne ho una dozzina che uso appositamente per questo scopo.
In questo caso ho scelto il Color Club Femme Fatale, perchè lo shimmer rosa si adatta perfettamente alla base color prugna.
Color Club Femme Fatale si è rivelato essere ben più di un semplice top coat shimmer. Le particelle rosa che galleggiano nella base trasparente sono in realtà piccole schegge, dette flakies. Peccato non essere riuscita a fotografarle in macro, avreste capito al volo cosa intendo!
Questa è una passata di Color Club Femme Fatale su Sally Hansen Save the Date più top coat. Penso che riusciate a vedere le particelle extra e allo stesso tempo vedete anche che il colore di base non è cambiato.
That’s my own way to sparkle up some colours that are too dull or too plain. The easiest way I mean! I can always add glitter or nail art, but this way is quick and easy and doesn’t completely change a look.
What do you do to spice up a mani?
Questo è il mio modo di dare un po’ più di pepe ad uno smalto troppo smorto. O almeno, il modo più semplice! Posso sempre aggiungere del glitter o una nail art, ma così è proprio veloce e non cambia completamente look alla manicure.
