Shaka Sexy Red

Hi everyone and happy 2016!

Let’s start the new year wearing a red combo, hoping it brings some good luck.

Italian brand Shaka launched a collection called Red Show that consists of 7 red nail polishes and 7 matching lipsticks.

My pick today is n. 03 Sexy Red, the only shimmery shade in the collection. Too bad the shimmer is actually visible in direct sunlight only, because it’s really pretty. And I don’t usually like shimmery reds so that means a lot that I like it!

Formula is good and the promised gel effect is delivered. The colour is not very opaque, more of a jelly, so you won’t have your tips hidden with two coats.

The lipsticks doesn’t 100% match the nail polish colour, it’s darker instead and has a magenta undertone. Unfortunately I look older than I am when wearing it which pisses me off quite a lot because I love the colour and it’s very comfortable on the lips.

Iniziamo l’anno con un’accoppiata tutta rossa, sperando che sia di buon auspicio.

Shaka ha lanciato da qualche mese una collezione chiamata Red Show, che “punta ad una combinazione perfetta tra 7 tonalità di smalti rossi gel look e 7 rossetti dal finish cremoso e confortevole”.

La mia scelta è ricaduta sul n. 03 Sexy Red, l’unico smalto shimmer tra questi 7 rossi. In realtà lo shimmer è visibile solo in pieno sole, peccato perchè è davvero bello! E se lo dico io, che non amo i rossi shimmer!

La stesura è semplice e l’effetto gel in effetti è ben visibile. Lo smalto non è coprentissimo, ha un effetto gelatina che da un effetto vetro trasparente. Con due passate riuscirete a vedere ancora la punta delle unghie.

Il rossetto non è dello stesso identico colore dello smalto in realtà, ma un po’ più scuro e con un anima che vira al magenta. Purtroppo per qualche motivo mi invecchia un sacco, cosa che mi dispiace perchè il colore è bellissimo e la formulazione è davvero confortevole come promesso.

La confezione rosso e oro matte è molto festiva, vero? Il prezzo è di 3,99€ per lo smalto e di 5,99€ per il rossetto.

Ho tutta la collezione ma questa è stata la prima combinazione che ho voluto provare. Credo che la prossima sarà la n. 07, ovvero la più scura.

Che ne pensate di questa coppia? Sembra che la combinazione rossetto+smalto sia molto gettonata in questo periodo!
