TNS BB Nail 5 in 1

No week-end break for me because I am working at an ice-cream exhibition from tomorrow until Wednesday. That means no fancy nail art or bold colours! I usually wear nude or taupe nails for the occasion. This year I had meant to use 5in1 BB Nail from TNS Cosmetics but changed my mind at the end. I will talk to you about this product anyway!

Everyone probably heard about BB creams for your skin, they are face creams that hide imperfections and hydrate the skin. Lately we started hearing about BB and foundation effect nail polish. TNS Cosmetics offers such a product called BB Nail 5in1.

“Double use nail polish and base coat. Prevents nail splitting and breaking. Gives a healthy natural pink finish hiding staining and imperfections”.

Questo week-end niente pausa per me, si lavora in fiera, e per l’occasione niente unghie strane. Di solito metto un color carne o al massimo un color fango. Quest’anno avevo pensato alla BB nail 5 in 1 di TNS Cosmetics, salvo poi cambiare piano ;)

Dato che ci sono ne approfitto comunque per parlarvi di questo prodotto e farvi vedere di che si tratta.

Avrete tutti sentito parlare delle BB cream per il viso, creme che uniformano il colorito e idratano la pelle allo stesso tempo. Da qualche tempo si parla anche di BB nail e smalti ad effetto fondotinta. Anche TNS Cosmetics ci propone un prodotto di questo tipo con la BB Nail 5in1.

“BB Nail idrata le unghie, dona loro brillantezza e ne intensifica il colore naturale, le nutre e le rende più elastiche, le ossigena e le protegge dall’acqua e dagli agenti esterni nocivi. Si può usare come base o come alternativa allo smalto”.

I had never tested such products but I was kinda curious about them. At first coat I realized this base give shine to the nail but it has no real colour of its own. That doesn’t change at second coat either. If you’ve got some staining on your nails it won’t cover them, not it covered my irregular nail tips. I personally like to hide that fault of my nails, plus this pearly nude colour is not for me.

On the other hand I think it's a good product for those woman, maybe more mature, who are used to this kind of colours. And also it would make a brilliant use for those who are not used to wear nail polish at all and damage their nails soaking them in water or touching chemicals. A BB nail base would help them protecting their nails keeping a natural look. No need to say TNS BB Nail 5in1 is B3F, which means it's free from Toluene, Formaldehyde and DBP.

Ultimately I think this product is a good base coat for everyone, but it's definitely less interesting as a nail polish.

Non avevo mai provato questo tipo di prodotti ma ne ero incuriosita. Alla prima passata mi sono resa conto che questa base dona brillantezza alle unghie ma non ha un vero e proprio colore, le rende solo leggermente perlate. Anche alla seconda passata l’aspetto non cambia. Se avete delle macchie di nicotina o altro non le coprirà, come non copre le mie punte irregolari. A me personalmente piace nascondere questo difetto, inoltre questo color carne perlato non fa proprio per me.

D’altro canto lo trovo un prodotto utile per le signore, magari più mature, che usano colori simili, o per chi non usa affatto lo smalto, e maltratta le proprie unghie tenendole a bagno o a contatto coi detersivi. In questo caso TNS BB Nail 5 in 1 può essere un buon alleato per proteggere le unghie e lasciarle naturali allo stesso tempo. Ovviamente la sua formula è 3-Free, priva cioè di Toluene, Formaldeide e Ftalati.

In definitiva penso che un prodotto come questo sia un'ottima base per chiunque, ma è meno interessante se visto come semplice smalto.
