Evviva i cambi stagione, che per me fanno rima con stagione del mal di testa! Ormai sono dopata da due giorni e spero solo che il tempo si assesti (col sole).

Oggi vi mostro una nail art creata con dei nail vinyls di BornPrettyStore. Su Instagram ormai i vinyls sono la norma, tutte le nail artist li usano. Ma cosa sono? Sono semplicemente degli adesivi bucati in varie forme, da appoggiare sull’unghia, pennellare con lo smalto riempiendo le figure, e rimuovere facendo un po’ di attenzione. Quelli che uso oggi sono molto semplicemente a forma di cerchi.

Purtroppo io e i vinyls non andiamo tanto d’accordo. Ho prima provato ad attaccarli sulle unghie e pennellare, come ho scritto sopra. Io però ho le unghie molto curve, e dove l’adesivo non si era appiccicato completamente, lo smalto ha sbavato sotto, e il risultato è stato disastroso. Allora ho riprovato (con un foglietto riesco a farci due volte) con un’altra tecnica. La seconda volta infatti ho usato un pezzetto di spugna, l’ho bagnato con qualche goccia di smalto, e l’ho poi tamponato sull’unghia. In questo modo non c’è rischio di sbavature, poichè picchiettando con la spugna l’adesivo viene spinto giù, anche se non fosse ben attaccato.

Il risultato è questo.

Hooray for season change, which for me means migraines season! I’ve been taking painkillers for two days now and I just wish the weather settles down. To sunny days.

Today I’m showing you a nail art that I created using nail vinyls by BornPrettyStore. Using nail vinyls is the norm nowadays, you can find plenty of nail arts on Instagram to be inspired. But what are nail vinyls? It’s simply adhesive stencils that you stick to your nails, paint over them and remove to get beautiful designs. The ones I’m using today are simple circles patterns.

Unfortunately nail vinyls and I are no best friends. I first tried sticking them to my nails and just brushing nail polish over them. I do have very curved nails though and the vinyl wasn’t perfectly sticked to the side of my nails so when I removed it there was polish underneath, too. Not good. I then tried again using another technique. A sheet of vinyls is enough for me to use it twice. The second time I sticked the vinyl and sponged some nail polish over, instead of painting it straight with the brush. Tapping with the sponge helps because you are basically applying colour and pushing down the sticker at the same time. This way you can’t go wrong.

This is what I got following this second way.

Diciamo che l’uso è davvero semplice, e tutti possono creare delle belle nail art con questo tipo di articolo. Io personalmente continuo a preferire la tecnica dello stamping. E’ anche vero però che questi vinyls sono molto basici, ci sono forme molto più creative, e che magari è difficile rendere in un dischetto da stamping. Insomma, i pro sono sicuramente più dei contro!

Cosa ne pensate di questo tipo di adesivi? Vi piace l’idea? Li avete già usati? E della mia manicure di oggi che ne dite?

Let’s admit using nail vinyls is super easy and everyone can create beautiful nail arts with this item. I personally prefer stamping over everything else. But then again these vinyls are really basic ones, there are so many creative patterns out there, and sometimes it’s impossible to render them on a stamping plate. So, there are more pro’s than con’s about vinyls for sure!
