Blue and pink floral nails

Today I am showing you a floral nail art created with some water decals.

I had Shaka Sweet Love on my nails and I realized I had a set of decals from Bornprettystore that would match it perfectly.

Using decals is pretty easy. You just cut them to your nail size, you remove the protection plastic and you put them in a water bowl. After a few seconds the sticker lifts from its base and you can apply it to your nail. After positioning the stickers to the desired spot I lightly press them with a paper towel to absorb excess water. I wait a few minutes before top coating so I am sure I won’t drag the colours.

Actually after being done with this mani I decided to go matte with it. You see that in my last photo.

Oggi vi mostro una nail art floreale creata con delle decalcomanie, o water decals in inglese.

Avevo sulle unghie lo smalto Shaka Sweet Love e mi sono accorta di avere degli “adesivi” di Bornprettystore che ci sarebbero stati davvero benissimo.

Usarli è molto semplice, si tagliano della misura delle nostre unghie, si toglie la pellicola protettiva, e si immergono in acqua. Dopo un po’ il disegno si stacca dalla base e a quel punto basta posizionarli sulle unghie. Per finire io tampono l’acqua rimasta con un po’ di carta assorbente, o di carta igienica. Prima di applicare il top coat aspetto qualche minuto, per non rischiare di portare via il colore.

In realtà dopo aver finito questa nail art lucida ho pensato che questo disegno sarebbe stato molto bello anche matte. Nell’ultima foto vedete la seconda versione quindi.

There’s only a flaw about these decals: they are enough for 5 nails only. This sheet has 4 different rows and each row is for 5 nails. That means you can either use them for accent nails or you can cut them in smaller or diagonal pieces. I must say  that this sheet is part of a 5 pieces set though and it’s the only one made like this. The other 4 sheets have 4 rows of 5 nails each with 2 different designs i.e. you can do 2 full manis with each sheet. Anyway, the price is so cheap (4,99$ for 5 sheets) that you can’t really beat it. 4 sheets worth 2 full manis + 1 sheet worth 2 accent nail arts = 12 manis for less than 5$.

How do you like today’s mani? And do you prefer it matte or glossy?

C’è un solo difetto in questi adesivi: la striscia coi disegni basta solo per 5 unghie! Questo foglietto infatti ha 4 strisce di adesivi tutte diverse tra loro. Questo significa che si possono creare solo delle “accent nail”, ovvero decorare un paio di unghie e lasciare le altre con lo smalto di base. In alternativa si possono tagliare a strisce più piccole, diagonali ad esempio. Aggiungo, però, che questo particolare foglio fa parte di un set di 5, e gli altri sono “corretti”, nel senso che ciascun foglio ha 2 strisce da 5 unghie, quindi con ciascun foglio di adesivi si fanno 2 manicure complete. In ogni caso il prezzo è talmente basso (al momento 4,54€ per 5 fogli) che mi sembra un affarone: 4 fogli x 2 manicure complete + 1 foglio x 4 nail art parziali =  12 nail art per meno di 5€.
