Let’s go back to a happier note i.e. the nail art! My base is Catrice ICONails no. 31 Vegas Is The Answer stamped with Bornpretty special stamping polish in pink no. 16 and trasparent silicone stamping plate no. 4* from tosave.com. I mattified the mani with TNS Flash Mat top coat, except for my last photo where you can see the glossy version.

Anche oggi continuo con una manicure tutta in rosa e vi ricordo che Ottobre è il mese della prevenzione contro il cancro al seno. Tenetevi controllate sempre, e spingete i vostri cari a fare altrettanto. Come dice il saggio: “Prevenire è meglio che curare”, specie quando si ha a che fare con malattie che ancora non sono sempre curabili.
Ma torniamo alla nail art e a faccende più allegre. La base è lo smalto Catrice ICONails n. 31 Vegas Is The Answer, stampato con Bornpretty rosa n. 16 e il dischetto di silicone trasparente n. 4* di tosave.com. Il tutto mattificato con il TNS Flash Mat top coat, tranne nell’ultima foto in cui potete vedere la versione lucida.
It’s my first time using a silicone plate and it’s way more difficult to use than the standard metallic ones. I’ve tried several stamping polishes and stampers but every time I get polish left all over. I begged for help in a Facebook group and several ladies told me the key is the scraper. You gotta use a firm scraper and scrape hard. I have no very hard scraper over here so I used the firmest I could find and this is the best I could get with it. You can see that there’s light pink all over the nails, out of the pattern itself. Honestly I’m giving it up. I can’t spend all this time on a mani, I’m all about being quick. 10 minutes is the max time I can spend on a manicure. Seriously. I am definitely going back to my beloved metallic plates. There are tons of them and they are gorgeous. I need no new funky stuff.
In the end I would say silicone plates are not what you want if you are beginners. If you fancy trying them though you can get a silicone plate and a very good clear stamper for just 1$ at tosave.com, so you won’t go bankrupt for sure. E’ la prima volta che provo un dischetto di silicone per lo stamping, e non vi nego che è molto più difficile da usare di quelli classici in metallo. Ho provato svariati smalti da stamping e tamponi, ma ogni volta mi rimane dello sporco anche fuori dal disegno. Ho chiesto aiuto in un paio di gruppi Facebook di appassionate di stamping, e mi hanno spiegato che la chiave è nel raschietto. Bisogna infatti usarne uno rigido e tenerlo molto premuto. Io al momento non ne ho nessuno sotto mano quindi mi sono dovuta arrangiare con uno che è leggermente più rigido di quello che uso di solito, ma probabilmente non ancora abbastanza. Ho fatto del mio meglio, tanti tentativi, e questa è la nail art più decente che mi è uscita. Potete vedere benissimo che lo smalto rosa chiaro è un po’ dappertutto, non solo nel disegno stesso. Vi dico sinceramente che io ci rinuncio, non ho proprio voglia di impazzire per una nail art. Io sono per le cose veloci, dieci minuti e la manicure dev’essere finita! Torno decisamente ai miei classici dischetti di metallo, che sono tanti e sono belli, non sento il bisogno di questa novità insomma.
