Faby Dedicated to Brigitte

Hi everyone!

Yet a new brand makes its debut on my blog. And once again it’s an Italian brand.

Faby Line was born in 1979 as a distributor of International brands in Italy (Trind and OPI to name a few), but in 2013 it started its own brand thus becoming producer and distributor of Faby nail lacquers.

Twice a year Faby releases seasonal collections, that are not limited editions. After their release all the colours are then included in the permanent collection, that consists of 205 as of now.

Spring/Summer 2015 collection is called Faby Music. “Can music be colour? Can colours “live” in harmony with a melody or a single note?”

Faby Dedicated to Brigitte is inspired by pop music and it’s a very bright pink. The usual bright pink every brand produces, you might think. Yes and no. I had the same thought at the beginning if I can be honest. And yes, the colour is not unique, we agree on that. But I must say I have none that looks like it in the end, because once my nails were dry it looked like I had gel on! It was kinda mesmerizing to me, I totally  loved it. I don’t think it translated to the photos, which is a bummer. Maybe in the indoors pic you can get the idea of what I mean.

Oggi un altro debutto sul blog! E si tratta di nuovo di un brand italiano.

Faby Line nasce nel 1979 come azienda distributrice di marchi internazionali (Trind e OPI per citarne un paio), salvo poi decidere nel 2013 di buttarsi in una nuova avventura: un proprio brand. E così nascono gli smalti Faby.

Un paio di volte l’anno Faby lancia delle collezioni stagionali, che non sono edizioni limitate, infatti tutti i colori che escono in queste occasioni entrano poi a far parte della linea fissa di smalti Faby. Al momento siamo a quota 205 colori!

La collezione Primavera/Estate 2015 si chiama Faby Music. “Può la musica essere colore? Possono i colori accordarsi con una singola nota o con una melodia?”

Faby Dedicated to Brigitteè ispirato alla musica pop ed è un rosa molto acceso. Il solito rosa che fanno tutti, direte voi. Sì e no. Ammetto che ho pensato la stessa cosa all’inizio, e sì, il colore non è certo unico, su questo siamo d’accordo. Però devo anche dire che nessuno dei suoi simili è come lui alla fine! Una volta asciutto, infatti, l’effetto è quello di uno smalto in gel. E questa cosa per me è quasi ipnotica, perchè continuo a guardarmi le unghie di continuo. Aggiungo anche, questo sembra un gel senza pubblicizzarlo, tutti gli altri brand adesso hanno la mania degli smalti effetto gel, che di tale non hanno nemmeno l’ombra. E qui chiudo la parentesi. Peccato che in foto questo bellissimo effetto non si veda, forse in quella in ombra?

I didn’t want to remove this beauty so after a couple days I attempted a nail art to gain a few more days with it ;)

I went for white, I think it really pops! I hoped Nubar White Polka Dots had matte glitters, it would have rocked that way!

Non volevo proprio toglierlo tanto mi è piaciuto! Quindi ho optato per una nail art che mi facesse guadagnare tempo :P

Ho scelto il bianco per far risaltare il colore ancora di più. Peccato solo che Nubar White Polka Dots non abbia glitter opachi, sarebbe stato ancora meglio!

And that was it! I can’t wait to use my other Faby nail polish and see if it’s the same quality as this one.

E questo era tutto! Non vedo l’ora di usare l’altro mio smalto Faby per vedere se è all’altezza di questo!
